Is a College Play Really Worth It?

By admin | July 23, 2012

When it comes to entertainment, you run the gamut from television to movies to even the theatre, don’t you? You get hundreds of television channels through services like www.rasertech.com/dish-tv-deals, you check the newspapers frantically for the latest releases, and you just love going to Broadway and splurging on those hundred dollar ticket prices for unparalleled theatre performances. However, did you know that, when it comes to the theatre, you don’t have to go all the way to Broadway to see something truly spectacular? Not when there are plenty of college theatres all across the country that can give you just as good of an experience.

I know what you might be thinking: How can a college theatre production even compare to the high class world of Broadway? The fact of the matter is that talent really doesn’t make discriminations based on production values and you can see something just as remarkable in a college theatre as you would on Broadway. Not to mention that seeing a play in a theatre run by a college is so much cheaper than going to New York City. Plus, you never quite know what you will find on campus making the college theatre experience more than worth it.
